![]() Q: Do all Saints have long hair? (Brenda Holiday, Brooklyn N. Y) A: Hello Brenda, No, there are smooth coat{short hair} & rough coat {long / med. hair} Saint Bernards. Q: Do Saint Bernards eat alot? (Shawna Jones, Palm Beach F.L) A: No Shawna, some do some don't, just like people not all dogs or cats are the same. I have several Saints, some love to eat all the time, some eat on their own schedule.{ It really depends on the Saint it's self.} Q: Are all Saint Bernards born with rear dew claws? (Kiely Bowens,Cleveland O.H) A:Kiely, No, some times a whole litter can be born with dew claws & then again some times one puppy in a litter can have them & the rest not. Litters can be born with just 1 or 2 puppies having rear dew claws, or the whole litter having them. I have even heard of a friend of ours, that had A litter born with all puppies having no dew claws at all but just one. Q: Do all Saint Bernards get knots behind the ears & the back of the legs? (Amber Thomas, Teays Valley W.V) A: Amber, No, actually the rough coats are the ones than can get knots & matts, in those places you mentioned. We have been very fortunate with our sweet rough coat Saints, all of them have a very nice textured coat that does not & has never matted or knotted. We did have A Saint last year in our rescue that when we got him,he was very badly matted & we had to shave him completely before we found his forever loving home, in {San Hose' C. A.} the new owner updates me with pictures of him & info. on how he is doing & she has mentioned no matter how much she brushes & baths him, he knots very badly in a matter of weeks, So some Saints do , Some Saints don't. I really believe it is the texture of their coat. Q: Who do you ship puppies with? (Brittney Houzels, V.A) A: Hello Brittney , We ship with Delta Airlines. They fly out of our Yeager Airport here in Charleston West Virginia which is about a 48 minutes drive for us, but its worth it, they are really good to baby's. {{ to read more about our shipping process go to our our shipping link on our site.}} Q:we have just purchase a saint bernard and it is at 11 weeks old and trying to house break him his name is galiah. do you all have any suggestings. thank you (Brittney Foulks) A: Hi Brittney, we do start potty training practice at about 4 weeks old, we use paper(it is cheaper than puppy pads and works just as well)-we use paper, and they do really well and usually by 6 weeks old they are 85% paper trained. They go by the paper sound and they know to use it. I have paper trained our puppies and then tryed to switch them over to the puppy liners / pads and they would not use it because there was no crinkly sound. Now for an older puppy, I would say consistence pays off, stay on him, meaning continue to show him the crate or paper or which ever method you are trying to train with, when he may pee or poo where he is not supposed to. Saint Bernards are A very smart breed, he will get the hang of it. Just keep in there again: stay consistent and very patient! Good luck. I am here if you need me any time. All our puppies are family raised and well socialized with extreme T. L. C . If interested I would be happy to answer any questions you may have now or in the future. I am a very patient person.
We do offer shipping, using Delta Airlines. Within just a couple hours the puppy is at its destination safely in your arms.
Shipping will cost $300.00 to $380.00 depending on where you live, weight of puppy & crate size.
